Welcome to Urinetown the Musical, not the place. What
is Urinetown? We know it sounds disgusting! Why would
anyone want to see a show called Urinetown? We understand...but
we fell in love with this show, and we think you will too. It’s
about a terrible water shortage...the government outlawing the
use of private toilets to conserve water...the corruption of
the Urine Good Company. It’s the classic tale of the poor oppressed
by the rich. Urinetown the Musical is a self-aware, hip,
ironic, and absolutely earnest celebration of all the awkward
balances that make America great.

In this hilarious comedy, the plot concerns Prudence, a New York City yuppie
who has decided to search for a boyfriend in the personal ads. She meets Bruce,
who is kind and understanding...but their date does not go well. He expresses emotions
and likes to cry. Prudence does not think men should cry “unless something falls on them.”
Bruce has a male lover. “I’m bisexual,” he tells her. She is not so sure...they talk at cross
purposes, and end up throwing water in each other’s faces. The play’s themes include New Yorkers’
reliance on psychiatry and the universal quest to find love and companionship.

A deliciously dark comedy that takes us into the world of five very different women, all bridesmaids, at
the reception of a wedding. What is it they have in common? More than you would imagine! Throughout the course
of the reception, these women discover self-truths that bring them closer together. It is not that they find
out that they share the same likes and dislikes, but something a little more substantial — they are all women,
striving to be one thing; themselves. And learning to love yourself is not the easiest task in the world.
